From script to storyboard: make every shot reviewable
Start with what viewers need to understand. Specify the visible subject, action, space, and sound of each shot. A storyboard clarifies the expression rather than dividing a script into equal pieces.
Extract the story goal
State the sequence's purpose in one sentence. List facts and character relationships that must remain accurate. Remove shot requirements that do not support the message.
Build a shot list
Specify the subject, action, framing, relationship to adjacent shots, and estimated duration. Review dialogue and subtitles separately and test key shots visually.
Review before expanding
Look for missing context, repetitive information, and confusing transitions. Continue through guided production or another existing creative path without skipping factual and asset review.
